Line 6 HD147 Problem

Hi guys,

Got a little problem with my amp, sometimes during the use of the expression pedal on the FBV Shortboard, my amp seems to forget its preset tone and begins using whatever settings are dialled in on the face of the amp. Can get quite annoying as i use a lot of different tones. I've tried a different FBV shortboard and a different ethernet cable, but the same problem occurs

Any thoughts?

Try to reset the amp. I forget how to do this but the line 6 site should tell you how......kinda like restarting your computer when a program doesn't work right. Good Luck!

well, before read the "I use different tones" part. I was about to suggest just putting the knobs at the postions that you want them to be... but now I see the problem.

i'm not sure how to fix that...

I have a Spider III that does the same thing. I could be completely wrong, but I think it's got something to do with either your cable for the footswitch or the switch itself.

Yeah i've tried resetting the amp, no joy though. After trolling through the Line 6 forums, i think the problem is in the head. Going to check out the cat connection inside the amp and see if there's a problem there.

I remember my buddy had the same problem with a flextone II that he had. I had a flextone III for years with no problems but it's strange to read the same thing happening across many line 6 poducts
