Line 6 MM-4 Modulation Modeler

The Blue one.

Any thoughts on these things?

I'm really interested in purchasing one and what wondering if any of you had experience with them. I'm a big fan of both phasers and flangers, and am looking for a decent chorus to replace the one I'm currently using from my amp. The soundclips on MF sounded good, but soundclips can be deceptive...

Ive used one for the last 2 years. You have to get the AC adapter though since it uses C cells and goes thru them quick
All the sounds are good except for the ring modulator which is a toy
I use light chorus , tremolo, phaser and Uni-Vibe.
All of these work really good

Re: Line 6 MM-4 Modulation Modeler

i have always wanted to try all of the floor modelers by line 6, cuz i love the stuff on my POD. i can tell you that the rotary speakers, chorus, and flangers on my POD kick a**, and i have heard nothing but good on the MM4.

Re: Line 6 MM-4 Modulation Modeler

I owned one for a couple years 'til I got my Magic Stomp.

It's a cool pedal with a lot of cool sounds. I sold mine (along with my DL4) because the MS did everything I used the L6 pedals for in about 1/3 the pedalboard space.

About the only bad thing I've heard is that some folks have had L6 stompers suddenly die on them.

Re: Line 6 MM-4 Modulation Modeler

I was reading over at guitargeek.com that the pre-2001 MM-4 models were horrible about crapping out suddenly, for no reason, just dying. Apparently they fixed that problem and there isn't much to worry about, but eh, it may still be a problem...

But yeah, these are serious phasers, flangers, and choruses that I can use practically and applied towards both my "own sound" and emulation right? Because if this can seriously solve my phase/flange problem, and give me a chorus at the same time, I'll snatch the MM-4 up in a second...
