Line 6 POD 2.0 Question......................

A while back I had considered buying a Line 6 GuitarPort. Unfortunately when I was about to buy one I had discovered that GuitarPorts only work on PCs and Line 6 doesn't make a GuitarPort version for MAC Computers. Unfortunately I have a Mac Computer, which is why I wasnt able to purchase a GuitarPort. I believe I read somewhere that the Line 6 POD 2.0 version can be used on both PC and MAC Computers... is that true?

Im pretty sure it can, ive got a pod 2.0 and i remember something about the software being able to work on both platforms.

Just look on the line6 site.

the SoundDiver software (that allows you to tweak your POD on your computer and transmit/receive the data from it via MIDI in/out) works for both PC and Mac.

direct recording would work with just about anything with a line-in or even microphone input.

Re: Line 6 POD 2.0 Question......................

If you're wanting to do recording with your POD, make you you have it switched to the correct setting and plugged in to the correct input on your sound card.

If you want to do direct recording, make sure you switch your POD over to the 'direct' switch on the POD itself, and plug it in to your line-in port on your sound card. You will most likely need a 1/4" --> 1/8" jack to do this.

If you're wanting to mic an amp that you're using with your POD, mic the amp, and plug the mic into the mic port. Make sure your POD is switched to 'amp' while playing. You might need an XLR --> 1/4" adapter, then the 1/4" --> 1/8" inch afterwards.

It's all child's play, really. :D
