Line 6 Spider amps? Or amp for Pod 2.0?

I have been looking ta changing my bedroom practice amp for a while now... I had been using Fender Princton Chorus amps for low volume bedroom practice.. They are not perfect amps at all.. But they worked for a low volume but high gain practice amp that i could use with people sleeping in the house... my main amps are large tube stacks like the 5150 and a Marshall 800.... Plus various tube combos.. But for home use i prefered the sound of Solid State amps.... But after trying out a Line 6 Spider amp yesterday i think i need to upgrade my bedroom amp.... The Spider model i was using at the store i think was called Spider II and was a single 12 75 watt combo.... It was only $399 Canadian...

Here is my questions about this amp...

1-If needed would i be able to jam with a quiet drummer and still not be craping the amp or speaker out? It is for the bedroom but from time to time i jam with a drummer that is really quiet! I use my Fender 20 watt 65 Deluxe amp at his place

2-How well are the Spider amp line made and would i be better off looking at something else that would last a good long time.... I know it's only a $399 amp but just wondering how they last.

3-Would i be better off buying a small keyboard amp to run my POD 2.0 thru?

The Spyders are good practice amps, the guitarist in my band had one, it's nice to be able to dial in a tone and basically adjust the volume for where you are playing and how much volume you need. However, I have to imagine a POD has more and better tones than the Spyder. (I'm not familiar with the II) If you had nothing, I'd say get it, but since you have the POD, maybe a good solid state Keyboard amp would be a better option.

Ya i have a POD 2.0 and the large full floorboard... i've been wanting to buy a Keyboard amp as i could run different multiFX units thru it..... with a Spider amp i am stuck to using it the way it is...... But it is a much more portable package then carrying a keyboard amp and a Pod, and floorboard if i did want to use it at a small jam or practise... I still look at these digital units as toys and for any real gigs i use my real amps but i have noticed that these digital things are starting to sound really good!!! Thinking it's time to stop being a tube snob...

I do know my POD sounds amazing thru a Keyboard amp... I had a keyboard player in my last band that was sick of carrying a Guitar amp to play 2nd guitar on a few songs.. Oneday at practice i said you could try my POD thru your keyboard amp as i heard someone say they sound great that way. Sure enough the next time we practiced he had a POD 2.0 too.... He had 2 imputs on his Yorkville keyboard amp so he had his Keys in one and his Guitar in the other..
