just wondering whoever has used one what they think of it? and if you could tell me some features and what were your favourite ones and what are the plus and minus sides to it i guess... i just want some info from people who have used it cause im thinking of getting one but yeah...and whats the recorder like?

Re: Line6 Podxt

just get one

thetones are wayy better than the 2.0 or the original...brighter, more in your face, more true to the sounds they are attempting top replicate.

My favorite part is the line 6 edit......I know this was available on the others but I could never get it to work correctly via midi...with usb its a breeze..you never have to touch the POD...just work right off the computer screen for everyuthing...there is no recorder in it...but you can use the usb to get your sounds into the computer, rather than using the soundcard.

Re: Line6 Podxt

Well i have the pod xt live and its amazing... one of the features that i like is the total software situation... you can upload and download patches via usb.
the effects are ok, the preamps are quite the real, not the real deal but close enough
you can also buy more preamps from the internet and they´re great, great tube feeling... the only thing that i dont like very much is the lack of harmony effects... and most of the effects are like synth... who needs them...

can you record onto your computer though? then like record over it and make like a song on your computer with solo's and rythyms and what not? my friend said you could because his friend has one or somethin...

Here's a link to a program I use it can combine play is sound files both at the same time and export to mp3. I've been experimenting with it and you could even play a whole song with rythym and lead at the same time.

Re: Line6 Podxt

is the ok so if i got that program it would work with the podxt or podxt live?

im thinking im gonna get the podxtlive cause i need one i can switch between channels and **** quickly

is the podxt the same as the podxt live asides from using a footswitch?

Re: Line6 Podxt

The PODxt is just better suited for live/gigging situations. The regular PODxt is really better suited for home recording and use. They do the same exact thing, but the Live version has wah/volume, and patch switching capabilities. They model the same exact amps, effects, and cabs. go to www.line6.com , all of your questions can be asnwered there.

Re: Line6 Podxt

does this thing work as a PA system? it says something like that on the website.

'PODXT Live can be used as the ultimate multi-effect pedal for any guitar amp, a complete direct PA solution'

Yeah that is what I have read. I have thier Guitarport which is for the computer only, mainly. but the PODxt Live will work through a PA so will the PODxt
:headbang:

Re: Line6 Podxt

no, i think you misunderstood. it isn't a PA, and doesn't work like one. what it does is replace the amp/cab/mic of a guitar setup and plug directly into a PA to get your guitar sound. It works!! And it sounds awesome. Be prepared to tweak a lot (it is actually fun); also download the manual from Line6 to find out what it really does before you buy. Their forum is also great for newbie info.

Re: Line6 Podxt

alright well im still contemplating to buy this or not... cause i wanna buy my friends really old 1x12 dean markley tube amp for 120$ :)

Re: Line6 Podxt

well, its one or the other, the PODxt doesn't play well with tube amps.

Re: Line6 Podxt

even the spyder won't sound the best- you really need a full range cab, like a keyboard amp with a 15" and a horn. something to add to the expense if you intend to use it live.

Re: Line6 Podxt

Do a search in this forum...we discussed this at length recently.

I play through an xt Live direct to PA. I use a small bass combo amp (30w) for a monitor.
