I did some samples using it in front of the PODxt for articles I do for Line 6.
Go to... http://www.instituteofnoise.com
and then select TONEZONE from the top. It's the current article.
It's pretty over the top!

no offense to the magazine, but i am a regular at the TG/GT/Guitarist forum and the Total guitar reviews dont seem to be highly respected. i once asked why/how was there 5 items in a single mag that recieved 5/5 best buy and the other forumites replied as to say that i answered my own question, total guitar reviews arent very reliable, and therefore the magazine generally doesnt get bought by the forumites who all tend to buy Guitarist magazine instead.
listen to the pedal with your own ears on the website or better still try one out, i think their horrid, shrill thin sounding peices of crap, maybe some people will like it, maybe.

I'd stay away from any pedal that has the words "super", "hyper", "über", "mega" and/or "metal" in it's name.
Except for the Boss Super Overdrive. That one's pretty good.

Thats a little misleading. Definately has that Line 6 quality. For me why use ANY pedals other than maybe an octave. My flextone III has it all.
I have wondered though could I plug a pod xt into my flex III. Or is that just TOO much Digitalization in the main membrain to generalize the flux Capacitor, and all it's funtions in the unit as a whole.....or hole?

that didn't sound too bad at all...heck it sounds better than half of the boss metal zone clips i have heard and people for some reason seem to like that thing. i'll stick with amp distortion, no need for pedals with the right amp!

Distortion pedals and gain pedals are way misleading! It depends on everything else in your rig to make an honest opinion. He used an PODXT no doubt doubled on the distortion(Piggy backed) and who knows what kind of amp. Maybe that was plugged straight into the Podxt to the computer.
Misleading though all the same.

Yeah- any pedal that claims to be Super/Mega/Uber/Hyper anything is probably going to suck. The only way to find a good pedal is either by word of mouth or trial and error. Since the later can end up being pretty expensive, I'll start things off by praising the Tech 21 XXL pedal (no longer in production- try eBay). Fat like a jumbo bag of pork rinds, not overly distorted. Ibanez TS is another great pedal that works well infront of tube amps that need a little extra kick.

Harrison, he used the XT using the Twin or Jazz Clean model flat eq'd. But I agree gettingdistortion from the amp is the way to go, at least for me.
