lipstick pickup/twang banger?

hey, I was wondering if this would work well... I'm getting an 8k bridge position lipstick tube (I might return it for a neck position). But I was also thinking about getting a twang banger to put in the neck (with the 8k lipstick) or in the bridge (if I get the neck)


what do you guys think?

I assume you're talking about that Duo Sonic? I wouldn't put either of those in the neck...now I would put a Twangbanger in the bridge but I'd put an SSL-1 in the neck or somethig along those lines...if you want lipsticks get the neck/middle version for the neck and the bridge for the bridge...

I had one of those reissue Danelectros with lipsticks, and agree that they'd be tough to match with a 'bucker.

*edit, I thought he was talking about a Stag Mag, so forget the 'bucker thing. However, I would stick with a quieter pickup, unless you want it to sound like you're switching guitars.

Hi cream123, i also have a Duo sonic and am going to put a twang banger on the bridge and an ssl-2 on the neck. Hopefully it will be in the guitar in a few weeks so i can tell you how the twangbanger on the neck sounds.

Have you decided on your pickups yet?
