Lipstick pickups in a strat, SRV

So I was at work (HMV, a record store) and I noticed on the back of the SRV in montreaux dvd he has a with strat with all lipstick pickups that looks really badass. Now I've never played those kinds of pickups so what would that sound like in a strat??

YEP!

Those old Lipsticks (the real Dano ones from the 60's) are REALLY warmed up but the hollow body of a Dano, stick them in a Strat and the top end will take your head right off...even Stevie remarked about that guitar that it was extremely bright.

On top the of the body deal I think Danelectro used really low value pots in those guitars (for some reason my mind is stick on 100k) so going to a more typical 250k pot addds even more top end!
