Lipstick Tube

Does anyone use lipstick tubes in the strat? How do you like them? I guess they are closer to SSL1/SSL2.

Dano lipstick tubes sound like nothing else...ever, I love these pickups but I think they sound bets in a Dano...they do sound cool in a strat but I think that there are better pups for a Strat and I think that there are better guitars for lipstick pups...

Stevie Ray Vaughn used lipstick tubes in one of his strats, that alone makes me want to have a strat with lipstick tubes

I have a set in a Strat. They're very bright and jangly. I think they're awesome for clean strumming, but they dirty-up nice and without getting "tubby."

I dig 'em.

I had a Chandler strat with lipstick pus in it and it sounded great. Wish I had that one back. The pus (which were probably Chandler) were a bit underpowered so I installed some sort of preamp into the guitar and it beefed 'em up big time.

Evan, if you read this, are the SD lippys in the same output ballpark as your vintage-type regular strat pus? Thanks.

I have never played them in a strat but, I love the way they look in a strat. I like the looks so much, I would like to pickup a cheap strat and a set of lipsticks just to try it out.

Brisk, one of the guys in Los Lobos used to use lipsticks in a Strat and sounded awesome.
