lipstick vs blade

Hey guys,
I currently have an Ibanez Talman with lipstick pups aand am thinking of changing them for blades
First question,, Does SD make blades and if so what would you recomend ?

duncan makes a few blade pups. what dont you like about the lipsticks and what do you want out of the new pups?

the lipsticks are fine for a really mellow blues tone . I'm looking for something with a little more bite.
I don't want to have to router the body as it's made of some kind of polymer
and the router holes aren't wide enough for buckers ( as the newer Talmans )
are. Was thinking maybe blades would work out better.

The lipsticks in my Talman are considerably longer than normal single coils though. You can't just swap without a new pickguard.

mine too.. another reason I was curious about blades,, will they fit without another pick guard ?

If you get the physical limitations worked out, some Cool Rails would be very "cool" in there. CR's have a nice spank and punch to them.

thanks , been wanting to experiment with these anyway, This'll give me a good excuse .
I think I can work out the pick guard , even if have to make one myself.
With the cutouts on the body being a bit longer there shouldn't be a problem with fit . right ?
