Hi there,

The little 59 on my telecaster bridge has a bit of feedback on string D and G.

I notice that it stops if I touch the mounting screws with a screw driver. Also I can tame it if I raise the pickup.

Do you have any tricks to help eliminate the feedback?

Give some details on your signal chain -- guitar, effects, amp, how loud you play, what style of music.

Are you talking about microphonic pickup squeal or true feedback? The reason I ask is because I've tried a '59 in my Nashville Tele and I have a lot of microphonic squeal, so much that I really can't use the pickup in the guitar. I attribute it to the bridgeplate, but I'm not sure.

If you touch the screw it goes away? Are you sure you're not talking about a grounding issue?

It's not the pup if it's only on those strings, that's the guitar ringing with sympathetic vibration and causing the strings to vibrate.
