Little Martin vs. Baby Taylor

OK acoustic fans.....If you had to choose between these two guitars,which one would you get? Thinking about picking up one of these and i`d like to hear some opinions on why you prefer one over the other. Had a chance to play the Baby Taylor but not the Little Martin. Thanks!

Out of those 2 I would probably buy the Martin..... Are you interested in a small body guitar or is it price that is making you consider these? If its price I think you can do better by looking elsewhere. The thing to do is go play a variety of guitars and don't pay to much attention to the name on the headstock. Buy the one that sounds the best and plays the best within the budget you are willing to pay.

I've been trying to decide on a "baby" guitar for a while. The Martin sounds funny, kinda "banjo-ish", and balances funny, but is the most compact of the lot. The Taylor is OK. Believe it or not, the best one I've found (for feel and overall sound) was a small body Samick.

I like the Big Baby Taylor but the Baby is pretty neat. Tune to F# if I remember from my short time with one.

I have the Martin and love it. I've dropped it, banged into things and it's perfectly fine! It came set up with better action than my brothers USA Martin too, but I haven't played the Taylor so I can't comment on it much.

The Big Baby is nice (enough so that I bought one), but despite all the great reviews I've read of it over the years, I've never been impressed with the sound of them. They're a many times better than the old Martin Backpacker (I still haven't played a Little Martin), but they still sound like crap to my ears.

Okay, I'm being a little harsh. For finger picking, they can sing a little. But campfire strumming, the thing that a guitar like this should be designed to do, sounds awful.

Mainly the size,but the price doesn`t hurt either!!! :headbang:

I haven't played the Lil Martin... but I have banged on the Baby Taylor for several hours and was impressed with it... the elecronics sound really good, and the acoustic sound stands on its own!
