Live Recordings...

Here's a couple of songs from this week's Geoff Wells Experiment gig. The first is "The Rover" from Led Zeppelin's "Physical Graffiti," followed by "Walk In My Shadow" by Free, from their first album, "Tons of Sobs." They were recorded straight from the FOH console through a Waves L2 hardware limiter into my Alesis Masterlink hard disk recorder. Enjoy!

Re: Live Recordings...

Good stuff. That singer has some pipes. The guitar player's not too bad either. :D

Nice work. Any more where that came from?

Re: Live Recordings...

Did any of those slack buggers in Melb. get along to see you?:outahere:

It's great the quality of what one can take from a desk these days with things like HD recorders.

WOOHOO!!! Great stuff as always, Geoff! I wanted to hear more punchiness in the bass on "The Rover," but that's a small gripe. You guys nailed this stuff just like you did with the other songs you posted on YouTube.

Any chance for video?

Thanks Erik, Jimmy the singer has certainly got some range...totally unassuming guy as well, which is rare. I'll post some more soon!

Not one of my SDUGF buddies came along GV...very sad...although the way things have been in poor old Melbourne lately, I fully understand.

I'll have the sound guy's job for that oversight, Keith! Although I've got a feeling it may have been pumping a little harder in the room with his offstage amp sound added to the mix. There was some video taken as well but I haven't seen it yet.

Cheers..................................... Geoff.
