Does anyone have any experience with seymour duncan hotwires? Thinking about installing one in the bridge position of my strat. All pro's and con's appreciated.

Re: Live wire

I had the LW-HS1 set for quite awhile in my frankenstrat which is currently packing a JB/Hot Stack/lil59 combo. That Strat has seen more pickups come and go than any of my other guitars.

The Hot Live Wires for Strat are very cool pickups to say the least. They sound like warm single coils but they have output up there with the Duncan Distortion. They sound great clean as long as you have a little headroom in your amp and under distortion they scream.

I don't have them installed in anything currently to run you a sound clip but I do have the complete set with pots and I could be talked into parting with them. I'm getting killer tones out of the Strat now and the notched positions are close enough with my current set-up so I don't see them getting installed again.

If you want a killer warm Strat single coil type of tone with balls to spare they are excellent pickups. Running them on 18v really does allow for some very nice dynamic response.

Re: Live wire

Thanks for the info right now I have a custom shop vintage in the neck and middle and am looking for something with some bass balls in the bridge.
