livewire help

hi,
i won't go into detail about my wife not watching our 2 nephews getting into my stuff and playing with it.:grumble:
I put all my extra pickups back into their cases except my HS-1 hot live wires and my CS-1 classic live wires.
Other than the bridge and neck labels, there are no identifying markings on these and there are no resistance specs available because of the type of pickups these are. They are all identical.:17:
Anyone have any idea how I can tell which is which?
Thanks for any help.

Re: livewire help

hi frank,
one has yellow, one has blue, two have black and the other has none or it came off.

Re: livewire help

I'm pretty sure that's how you can tell, but I don't know the secret code. I'll let you know if I find out. I need a day or so...

Re: livewire help

i think i've figured it out with your help. i never realized the colored bands.
i have 2 hs1 hot live wire bridge
1 hs1 hot live wire neck
1 cs1 classic live wire bridge
1 cs1 classic live wire neck

thanks to frank telling me about the bands i think this is it.
i have two with black bands so they must be the hot live wire, and both are marked bridge.
i have an old seymour duncan catalog that shows a pic of the hot live wire neck with a red band. i have the one pickup with a missing band but it does say neck
that leaves the two classic pickups the neck with a blue band and the bridge with a yellow band.
if anyone finds i'm wrong please let me know and again thanks for the help.
