Based on the pickups in this one and the pickups in the one I saw back in the day, I think you are right. The only doubt I have is that the headstock is different. I have seen similar headstocks on Harmony Pauls. I don't know enough about either brand to know if there could have been some factory overlap, same guitar different decal stuff going on.
I am enjoying it because it has a different feel from my strats and teles. I like it. Make me want one made of real wood though. If I had the budget I would put a 59 or something in it. I have some old Schaller (Kramer factory pullouts) and an Ibanez pickup that I will put in it for now. If I get a nice Paul, I will put some Mighty Mites or something in it and sell it. It has been a fun project, I got to replace some binding, install a nut and soon tuners. It may have a truss rod rattle or tuner noise, so I will have to find out when I get the keys. Stuff I like to do.
