Lonestar Strat, SSH, Tipleshot, P-rail humbucker wiring.

I am very new to all of this. Thanks for your help and clarifying abbreviations that may not be obvious to a newbie.

Single coils are stock Seymour Duncans (maybe Texas specials? I cannot remember off hand, but this is an older model Lone Star Strat). I changed humbucker to P-rail.

I had this working, but the triple shot toggle closest to neck didn't seem to do anything, so I am wanting to double check my work. Also, I have a couple of questions:
1) When I removed my pickguard, the white wire from the TS must've come loose, and I believe it was connected to volume, but directions say connect it to 5-way selector switch, but does not specify exactly where on the 5 way switch to connect it.

2) I'm looking at my humbucker (P-rail now) tone pot and it is a 250k. I swear I remember something about needing a 500k for humbuckers. I have a 500k (I harvested from my old Kramer Focus 6000 when I dropped in a coil tap pot) but not sure if I need to rewire. What is in this guitar is what it came with--I know I've never changed out a pot on this thing. Would I do well to put the 500k in? And if so, do I need different capacitor and/or different wiring? Trying to attach a pick to this post.

So, I'm looking for the ability to go from bluesy to driving rock (thus the P rail and tripleshot) and have a bit of flexibility with the P-rail but without putting in a coil-tap volume pot.

No clue if I have the terms correct here.
Thanks y'all
Jon

Somebody with more wiring expertise can probably help you with that but as far as the pot value....
Do you like the way it sounds currently?
If yes, I’d leave it alone.
A 500k pot will add some top end to the tone. But it’s all your personal preference. I, personally have 250k pots in my LP and my Kramer. They sound great to me.

Re: Lonestar Strat, SSH, Tipleshot, P-rail humbucker wiring.

Thanks Gtrjunior,

A bit more top end is part of what I am looking for.
In terms of wiring, I should be more specific about my question now that I re-read it:
Are there clear wiring diagrams of different options when using a triple shot with SSH? I looked at wiring diagrams with triple shot and all I could find was the single humbucker with a volume knob wiring. In the interactive choices to the left of the diagram, the "Tone" section only had 0 or 1, but my strat has 2 tones and a 1 volume (I did select 1 volume).

I am guessing there are easy to decipher wiring diagrams out there for SSH with tripleshot/p-rail, but I'm now cross-eyed from surfing and wearing a loupe to see what I'm doing under the pickguard.

Thanks again!
