Long legged humbucker backplates for a trembucker :)

Hi guys,

Do you think the custom shop can make a backplate for a trembucker with long legs? I ripped out the True Duo pickups from my 2011 Ibanez S and they are HUGE. measurements wise, it looks like a backplate on a normal thickness hum bucker would give me the right depth. Otherwise, I'd need to shim the 1/4" in difference with some wood or something. The bridge is trembucker spaced however, so a standard backplate w/long legs for an LP won't do - the holes for the screw coils would be in the wrong place.

What to do what to do? Maybe I can otherwise get a standard backplate and drill it out - but it might be easier just to ask.

The custom shop doesn't make backplates. They might design a unique one for a particular model (like the Silverbird), but my understanding is they outsource and buy the already-machined product for their stock.

Dang, that sucks - although I should have figured. Thanks for replying!

Just ghetto rig a regular long leg backplate for a trembucker. Use a drill to move the holes for the screws slightly if you have to.
