And that Blowhard Taylor also gets all the pure black Ebony at about 100% less cost in the bargian, which i'm shure he hoards for himself.
How does a cheeseface liek that, who makes crummy B-grade guitars in the first place that can't hold a candle to the best Martins or Gibsons, get a contract with the government to harvest all the effin' wood?
Oh well, all ya can hope for is that the Camaroon govt. is so unstable, that that contract wont be worth the paper its written on if they can negotiate a better deal down the line.
..and Pure Black Ebony isnt just about the color, its the best sounding Ebony also.

Calling Taylor a B grade guitar is only your opinion. They are very fine instruments.
If Taylor has been working with the government and harvesting in Camaroon for over 20 years, why shouldn't he get preference over other companies just starting to move into that area? Especially when he is willing to harvest all the trees, not just the "black" ones, and eliminate such waste and increase revenue to the country.
Just because you may not personally like Taylor guitars doesn't mean you should turn a blind eye to the realities of business and politics.

This is where bob isnt telling the whole story. Ebony has been dyed for a loooong time. The guy just bought a risky business (risky due to political instability) and hes trying to drum up support. Its a nice bit of social engineering on bobs part but its not all on the up and up

I use dyed maple, so I'm not really going to make a big deal about this. It has very similar properties to ebony, so my guitars don't really take a hit to the sound quality. That being said, I do love my ebony Gibsons, but I have enough of those. I'll probably just build my own from here on out.
