Picked it up at the local shop with some gift certificate money I got for giving my girlfriend's cousin guitar lessons.

I didn't have any batteries here at the girlfriends so I will have to try it out when I get home.

I decided to get it because I always ware through the pot and break the switch.

Hopefully this will workout for me!

That's a great wah. I have one, and it's pretty versatile.

In my experience though it is a bit more suited to higher gain settings. I play a lot of bluesy/gospel stuff and I never vibed with it.
In my last band though it was perfection. We did a lot of modern rock. Think Velvet Revolver, Alter Bridge... etc

Re: Look what I picked up!

I wasn't worried about getting a vintage tone when I got this thing. I use a lot of effects and I thought this would work well. I hoping it sounds pretty on the clean tones as well.

What kind of power supply were you using? I can't figure out if it is the same as reverse polarity. It says the center pin is negative.

Re: Look what I picked up!

I've never played a #2, but I always dug the originals alot. What's the difference?

Re: Look what I picked up!

As far as I know Mattt is right.
The #2 setting was my favorite. I liked tweaking the contour to my liking.

As far as a power supply I always used a battery.

If anyone is interested in this Wah I have one I will sell! (Shameless Plug!)

Re: Look what I picked up!

I've gotten the first one back in 1999 as B-day present from my bro's in the band and high school. I gotta agree it really shines with high gain stuff, like switching between tapping notes in a tap licks, first beat quack on the three notes per string shred stuff, quick pick harmonicks quacks and etc, it really is very transperant I run it before Spinas TS and I step off its totally silent seamless transition to usual tone.

Re: Look what I picked up!

im pretty sure is a regular power supply like boss or whatever. only things ive ever encountered that had different power supplies are anything that uses germ trans

but i could be wrong....hehehe....so if you like your boss power supply then do some more checking before you try it, lol
