Looking for a 1x12 Cab for my Orange Tiny Terror head

Hi, i have just purchased a tiny terror head and i need a 1x12 cab.

There are 3 outputs on the back for external speakers: 1 for 16 ohms and 2 for 8 ohms each.

Does the cab have to be 16 ohms or can i plug an 8 ohm cabinet into one of the 8ohm outputs?

should i go for 8 ohm or 16 ohm? what will the difference be.

also what kind of wattage should i look for on the cabinet speakers.

I want a good value cabinet rather than top of the range.

Closed back preferably as i play a fair bit of metal and need all the extra punch i can get.

I have seen the epiphone valve junor cabinet, marshall avt cabinet and laney gs 112 ve cabs for good prices on gak.co.uk. are any of these good?

I don't like the AVT cabines, badly put together, not solid at all and the speakers aren't all that. I dont like the valve junior cab either. I don't have any experience with the Laney one, but in your situation, I would get the orange 1x12 to match. They aren't the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. They are the only one out of that bunch that is made from solid wood. Orange make cabinets properly. That would be my top choice. I think it comes with a Vintage 30 too.

You can use 8 or 16 ohm cabs with the tiny terror.

I would either get that matching 1x12 or the 2x12 from orange.

Ditto on the matching 112 orange. Or check out avatar cabs. Really good cabs for the $$. IMO though, spend a few extra $$ on the orange! It'll look killer too!

What's your experience with the valve junior cab?
I think orange cabs are made from plywood.

We have a valve junior in the studio at my uni. I found it too boxy sounding, with a looseness that didnt gel with me. That said, I'm used to playing through a greenback loaded 1960a.

Yeah, sorry, they are birch plywood, but they are much thicker framed and solidly constructed than most other cabs on the market.

ok so if i don't get the orange cab, what else might i be well off getting?

The matching cab looks nice but IMO sounds so so...I just don't care for the speaker in the cabm the cab is great. I'd get an avatar 1x12 with a single G12H30 and be done with it.
