Looking for a fix.

A couple of screw holes for the pickups in a guitar body have basically fallen apart and I'm sure this is going to cause extra stress on the remaining holes until the pickups just fall out altogether.

There must be a fix for this that won't be too much hassle, e.g. wider pickup rings?

Suggestions?

Fill the holes with wooden toothpicks and glue. Then screw the screw back in.

On the less severe ones I'll give that a shot, two are no longer "holes".

In that case enlarge the hole with drill bit to the next common size. Than fill it with a wood stick or wood dowel of that size and glue.
