Looking for a guitar/Thanks for the mids fellas!

Okay, I have a thank you and a question:

1. Thanks for making me see the light! Mids are effin' awesome! I was getting bored with the instrument, but when I switched my amp settings (kicking the bass back and adding more mids) I fell in love with my guitars and my amp all over again. Thanks!

2.
I'm looking for a guitar like this:

a. Floyd Rose (or a Floyd Rose liscensed copy)
b. Two Volume controls, one for each pickup...one/two tone controls is okay, but I'm fine with one
c. a THREE WAY Les Paul style pickup selector switch. I hate the three/five way blade switches....
d. a "regular" headstock...nothing pointy, I'm fine with a bannana or Strat style...
e. $400 - $600 price range

I've considered the Epiphone Goth w/ Floyd Rose ( http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7...3051923/g=home/search/detail/base_pid/518263/ ) but was wondering if you guys had any better deals or better suggestions.
Aside from the Goth I've only found guitars with three/five way blade switches, one tone/volume, and pointy headstocks...

How important is it to have multiple volume and tone controls? I've found that having two volumes sometimes creates more problems than it solves. If I were you, I'd get a Peavey Wolfgang Special, and use one of those concentric pots so that you'd have one volume and one tone. With the exception of having multiple volume/tone controls, it fits your description perfectly, and the quality is much better than anything you could get from Epiphone.

I almost started to respond with a "Peavey" type answer myself, then bit my tongue, 'cause I don't have as much guitar experience as most of you. But I can't help but wonder if the early-to-mid '80's MIA Peavey's aren't one the best kept secrets of guitar value right now. They can be had for $100 to $200 all day long on eBay, and seem to be well built guitars, with lots of room left in the budget for mods.

How important is it to have multiple volume and tone controls?

Pretty important.
I like having two volumes because I can turn the top pickup off and use the pickup selector as a "kill-switch" of sorts (when I'm not playing).
I also like to turn the volume down lower on one pickup for semi-clean type of sounds with a little dirt or just straight cleans (with my current Epiphone Explorer I use the neck pickup for clean sounds even w/ the amp's distortion channel on, it's got a HUGE taper) and use the other pickup for full on distortion.
I'm also more comfortable with the Tone Tone/Two Volume or Two Volume/One Tone set up I guess...

The Peavey was a good suggestion since it's mostly what I'm looking for, save that extra volume control. I have considered purchasing a guitar like the Peavey and doing after market mods like adding an extra volume control and a three way Les Paul style switch.

The Wolfgang Specials can easily be routed for a second control. You could then use two concentric pots, and have two volume and two tone controls.

It would involve drilling into the body, but I believe the specials have a flat top, so it should be very easy. If you know how to solder and can wire up a guitar, you could do the whole thing yourself. The dual concentric control pots are probably about $15 each, but you'd be able to have two volumes and two tones from only two spots.

I'd just get a used MIM Strat and mod it for two pickups, two volumes, and toss in a new pickup selector.

Also, aren't some BC Richs along the lines of what you're looking for?

Schecter C-1 Floyd Rose...But it only has 2 controls. You could do the concentric pots, or just put the tone control in the cavity, unless you use it. It comes stock with an OFR!! Also, It's setneck and mohogany, wheras the Wolfgang is bolt on and basswood.
