Looking for a LP/SG type

HI - I want to wire up a Jimmy Page wiring setup and need a decent starting point. I am looking for a guitar in the $.01 - $650 range. Possibilities include:

- Carvin
- Gibby SG
- Gibby LP studio
- Epiphone SG (bound neck only)
- Washburn Idol
- Hamer?
- Godin?
- Aria pro
- Schecter
- Ibanez

I'm looking to stay away from store brands and stick to fairly known brands. I'm comfortable drilling a 3rd or 4th hole in a cheap guitar to get the extra pots.

I'd also be willing to trade a Hamer Standard (korean) flametop with hardcase and Gibson 500t/496r for the right guitar.

If you don't find one here, check out the Agile line of Les Pauls.

Re: Looking for a LP/SG type

Yeah, my last resort will be the Agile----------- type guitars.

Fixed. SX Strats and Teles are fine, but the Agiles are way better, and the Agile Les Pauls are probably the best imported Les Pauls you can find. I haven't played a Xavier one yet, but I've heard they can be hit or miss. All of the Agiles I've had have been perfect.
