Looking for a new amp, £1200 budget

The Roadhouse is a great amp particularly for old school (70s, 80s) blues rock. I find it a real joy to play but if you want to switch from pristine clean to high gain overdrive it's not designed for that. I don't do clean much so it suits me down to the ground. It'll get as clean as I ever need by turning the guitar down.

That Cornford Roadhouse 30 was high on my amp list before I got my JTM45.

I would like to hear an A/B test on those two tone monsters.

Roadhouse has a gainknob, the JTM a vol knob.

Will be a deciding factor for some people.

So, why did you got with the JTM then ?

The Mesa Express 5:25 is a great amp and pretty much covers all the ground you ever need, I only got rid of mine because it just did quite have enough balls to cope with my drummer.
The Cornford Roadhouse 30 left me a little cold mind, but that's probably just me. Just remember you can go a long way tweaking the sound of an amp by dropping an eq pedal into the chain.

Funny how tone can differ so much among people.

I did not like the general tone of the Mesa 5:25, but, the 5:50 on the other hand sounded OK. Strange.

Since I only just got the amp and never post anything, I thought I'd do some clips of it in action. The only problem is that I had to use the built in mic on my panasonic TZ7 to capture it, but you get a flavour of it, even though it's no where near as good as being in the room next to it.
