guitar with the combo aluminum and wooden neck. I think it was called the skeleton neck? I think it was to satisfy the people who complained about the aluminum necks being too cold. (wussies ;)) Anyway, I almost bought one used years ago, and you know the rest of the story. I never see them on ebay, so I assume they are pretty rare. I would like to own that guitar.

Yep. The second generation Kramer (partially) aluminium-neck model is rare. A quick look into some guitar-spotter books would probably answer all of your questions. Check out publications by George Gruhn or Tony Bacon.

Guys thanks for those pics, but that is not what I almost bought. Let me rephrase it. It look more like a herringbone design on the back of the neck. Many spines of aluminum.
