Not the guy who hangs out here...

I'm looking for a 1986 Ibanez Roadstar II RG425, an RG430 and an RG450. Any colour.

Thanks!

Re: Looking for a Roadstar

Pinto, good luck those are 3 of the most rare RG's from 1986. RG440's are pretty common. I am still searching for an RG410 ( I bought one already from this forum) in white or that cool purple burst color. The RG450 is rarer still, and the RG425 I have never seen. Just wondering why did they make that pickup combo, were they copying Vivian Campbell's layout? He is the only one I've seen with that crazy config, (besides Stephen Carpenter from Deftones)

Re: Looking for a Roadstar

i have an 82 or 83 RS1000 birdeye mapel cherry burst. one went on ebay for over six bills about a year ago its a wonderful guitar. tiny neck perfect to teach my boys to play!

Re: Looking for a Roadstar

There is one for sale locally... Not sure if it has an Edge trem on it or not. I want to say it was a Strat style trem.
I do know they were asking $175. I can go check it out again if you haven't had any luck finding one.

Re: Looking for a Roadstar

My guess since he is looking specifically for an '86 RG/Roadstar II is because of the Edge trem, whioch was the only year it was offered on the Roadstar II, before they evolved into the RGs.

Re: Looking for a Roadstar

just keep your eye on ebay and have patience.

Lots of them turn up there.

Be patient and get a good one!

I saw one RG425 body that had been stripped down... should have grabbed it...

DING DING DING! Right on the money with that.

I already have a 410, a 420 and 3 440s... I missed a 430 a few years ago... the fiancee at the time said no... grr... Then I saw one at a local music shop in for repair, I left a note for the owner, but no call.

If you can get a picture of it I'll tell you if it's one I need.

Thanks.

Re: Looking for a Roadstar

Pinto you're up on a few 86 Roadstars more than I have. I have 2 440's and one 410. I bought an older Roadstar with the vintage trem and maple fretboard I want to swap with one of my 440's. I would still need the Top Lok from the Ibanez that came with Pro Rock'R trems or Hard Rock'R trems to add to the maple fretboard though.
