I recently purchased a very-slightly used 2012 Guild F-50. Mint condition, not even any play wear on the frets.
It has the factory-installed DTAR Multi-source wavelength system. Overall it sounds AMAZING. Dial in just a bit of mic and it really sounds great...and I use it thru my Fishman Aura Spectrum D.I./preamp.
However, the high e string is much louder than the other strings (and it may be a bridge/saddle issue...I just ordered a new bone saddle and am talking to some Guild guys about it), but as I was experimenting with different string gauges, settings, amps, etc, I thought I would take a look at the little box inside the guitar. It has two trim pots on it...one labeled, "bass" one "treble". They were both turned almost all the way counter-clockwise!
I have looked online, and all I can find is the installation manual, but it is not a user's manual. It does mention that the trim pots are pre-set at the factory to -3db for bass and flat for treble. But if someone went in there and messed with the settings...how would one bring them back to factory settings?
In reading some of the other posts, I guess the DTAR forum has been deleted?
I have emailed SD twice in the last few weeks and have had no reply, other than the auto-bot generated "Thanks for.."
