Hi folks,
I'm using a strat-style guitar(HSS) playing in a Top40 cover band, plus a corporate showband. Styles vary from hard rock, to clean/gritty country and blues with some 50/60's rockers thrown in.
My guitar is equiped with a JB(SH-4) bridge, stock rwrp sc middle, and a hotrail in the neck. Master vol. Master tone. 5 way switch wired:
1-hot rail full(neck)
2- hot rail split with middle
3- middle sc
4- middle sc with JB split
5- JB full(bridge)
note that all positions are noiseless other than the middle sc alone.
I may change the neck Hot rail to something else possibly, but really I'm needing to change out the middle sc to something less bright and thin sounding(stock pup). Looking for suggestions that would continue to give me the same or similar p/u selector options. Looking to keep as noiseless as possible and am not looking to adding any more switches or pots. Also some advise on tone cap values would be usefull.
TIA,
BJ
