Looking for the right Pickups

Re: Looking for the right Pickups

The Hot-Rodded set is a very good choice for playing BFMV-style music, pretty sure Matt Tuck has this same set in his old Rhoads V he used. I had a Jackson King V with this set in them and the sound was crushing yet versatile enough for me to play several different styles of rock/metal with them. In addition to the Exchange Policy that Dave (Mincer) posted for you above, also let your BF know that Duncan are really good about helping people out with questions he may have about setup, wiring, etc. he can come here to the forum where loads of great info can be found or even call the Tech Support Hotline: 805-716-6747. Would love to hear what he thinks when he's got it all put together!

Re: Looking for the right Pickups

Okay, that makes sense. I'm just not sure, since there's three pots in total, if there's two tone and one volume or vice versa. Since I'm going off of holes in a guitar and pictures on the internet, it's hard to figure out haha. I'm just supplying him with the parts on his birthday and it's up to him to reconstruct his guitar with the items I procure
Typical Rhoads wiring is two volume and one tone.

Re: Looking for the right Pickups

Thank you very much for the information. I will pass it along to him as soon as he starts rebuilding the guitar. I will also pop back into this forum once he's finished and give an update on his thoughts :) my goal is for him to have everything he needs and absolutely love it
