What's up guys.
I need some help with the outro solo from Velvet Sky. The part I'm having trouble with begins at 3:59 in the song. It sounds like this triplet strumming thing, with wah. I have the LLB DVD, and for that part Henry is strumming in the regular place, and over the high fret area of the neck. Kind of looks like he's alternating between the two areas to create different strummingg tones. I can't seem to get it right, and I'm not sure If I'm missing something or what. I also hear this done in another song on the album, I think it happens in Senorita, and I seen SRV do this a couple times.

Can anyone help me out and tell me what's going on, and how to pull this off and make it sound smooth like it should?

Thanks!

Hey xnfx,

Good news, I just received my June issue of Guitar one aaannnndddd.....

Velvet Sky is transcribed in it's entirety. It has Buddy Guy on the cover. I have a subscription so I may receive it before the newsstands. If you can't wait till you get a copy, PM me and I'll help you out with whatcha need.

Peace,

Darrin
