Lots of buzzing on Seymour Duncan SH-6 pick-ups

So I have a lot of buzzing coming from my newly installed pick ups (by an amateur such as myself).

So, when I turn the the tone knob all the way down, the buzzing goes away. When I turn both volume and tone down, I can’t still get sound out of the instrument (its faint but it’s there). When I have the guitar on the clean channel, there no buzz at all.

Any suggestion on what’s causing this?

Could be bad solder joints. Check your wiring and make sure everything is nice and clean. All connections should be solid and no bare wires should touch each other. Also, make sure that you followed SD's wiring schematics correctly, e.g. that all wires go where they should.

I’m going to resolder the green and bare wires (going off of the wiring diagram) because I fee like I may have done a slip job on that. As far as everything else. Nothing else appears to be touching.

But, judging from the diagram, all of the green and bare wires should be connected together on the volume pot right? Or do they need their own separate spots on the same pot?

The green and bare wires of both pickups need to be soldered to the base of the pot that is grounded. It doesn't matter whether they are together or not. That could either be the volume or tone pot, depending on your guitar. Just don't solder them to the connectors where the other cables go.

Now if your green or bare wires are touching the black, red or white ones - that could be a problem.
