Hi guys,
Haven't been here for a while. Got a lot to do with my bands music video & EP recordings and lots of other stuff such as work and school. And a girlfriend
Many of my pieces of gear are now gone (don't worry, I've still got the Mayo) but I've also got something new. And today I took some pics for you guys. So, here they are:
Starting with the small ones:
Bare Knuckle Painkillers for my Mayones with Tyger covers. These are going to be badass I tell ya
So, here we have a Visual Sound Route 808 & T.C. Electronic Polytune. Love both for the live use. Polytune is accurate and makes tuning such a breeze. Route 808 gives you the SRV style blues sounds and boosts your amp really nicely if needed. I'm using it with L... well, you'll see later
My sound is crisp, tight and huge with this little ****** turned on.
Lets see my speaker section:
This is my Engl 212 EV Pro cab. It has two V30s and it's ridiculously heavy (both sound and weight). This thing weights a lot more than many 4x12 cabs. The grind is strong with this one. Rock loud with your cock out.
Then to the heart of the beast:
That's right. A Laney Ironheart Studio. Takes care of the gigging and studios both. Man this thing screams like a... well... (ya know right?)
. What really surprised me was that the cleans are really good. Natural and full of harmonic content. It breaks really nicely to this classic rock crunch when turned full on. I love this thing. Really.
Finally my new badass mofo piece of wood:
Here it is. Ibanez FR420. Maybe the best deal I've ever made (and I bought it new). The thing is I've always hated RGs and other Ibanez axes because the neck doesn't fit me. Or the Edge (no not you Edge, go play some Beautiful Day...). I've always loved the look but if it doesn't suit you, what can ya do? But this one is a whole different story. As soon as I tried Laney Ironheart at the store with this particular FR420, I knew I'd buy it some day. First I bought the Ironheart because that was the one I was after at the time. And a month later... I grabbed the FR. The bridge is smooth and it looks stunning. It also has maybe the first decent Ibby pups I've come across with. It's gorgeus and plays well. Gonna change the nut for a bone one and the stock tuners for something else. Maybe the pickups later on. But yeah, damn nice.
I hope you enjoyed the ride
