Love Joe's (Bonamassa) tone here!!

Re: Love Joe's (Bonamassa) tone here!!

He's a great player but that tone sounds boxy to me.
His best recorded tone for me is the RAH dvd.
Especially The Great Flood and Happier Times.

In fact the version of Happier Times on that dvd is one of my fave songs of all time.
The 2 drummers are simply spectacular.

Lots of midrange honk - in a good way! This man really knows how to make his guitars sing.

Sounded better last Sat to me when I saw him playing in Birmingham UK through what looked like a couple of Silver Jubilee's and Tim Bradshaw's :bling:

You had to go and say that didn't you ??
Envy may not be a nice trait but ... tough ;0)

Lol.... but it was awesome. The guy is just so cool, classy and has style, you've just got to see him live. I'd never seen him before but I loved it, hopefully he'll be back next year.

Re: Love Joe's (Bonamassa) tone here!!

A friend arranged VIP tickets for me to see him in Cardiff last year without knowing it was the day I was having my ear surgery.
I was gutted to miss it.
