Lower Watt Amp Help

So I'm in the market for a new guitar amp. I already have cabs and my huge 100 watter for the stadiums (if only). So what I now need is a pratical gigging/recording amp. I'm a little picky so there will be some ground rules.
1. Must be between 15 and 50 watts.
2. Must be a two channel amp.
3. Must be very versatile (I play most styles) with an emphasis on vintage tone (no need for high gain, got it covered).
4. My cap is about 2000 dollars, really prefer not to go over 1500.

The amps gotta do it all, most importantly have a great clean, mild OD, and Marshally type OD. Any takers?

Mesa Electra Dyne.
Not a true "channel switcher" but 3 modes of clean, crunch, and more gain.
Traditional american-sounding mesa clean tones with rather british overdrive that is smooth and creamy at any volume.

90W at full output but it switches down to 2 power tubes for 45W.

Best thing I've played that sounds like what you may want.

Maxes out at 65 watts but you can switch it down to 18. I play it on 18 watts and it is perfect. You have the ability to swap in two different types of power tubes (6L6/5881 and EL34's come with it) and you can blend them in any ratio you want. It will also accept 6V6 (knocks wattage down but you MUST GET the JJ Tubes version because they are the only ones that can run a high enough voltage), 6550's, KT77's, KT66's, KT88's and all of the EL34 and 6L6 variants you can find. It has bias adjustment screws on the back panel so it is EASY to bias your own amp.

Pop in your combination of pre amp tubes to tweak it to your tastes.

It has a built in 2nd volume to boost for solos, built in reverb (digital but sound great) with controls for each channel (with spillover).

It responds to pedals in the front end and fx loop extremely well.

It sounds great through a variety of cabs too. It obviously will roar with your 4x12 but I have it running through an Egnater 1x12 and it sounds sweet.



If you only need one channel then get the Egnater Tweaker. 15 watts and a bunch of switches to vary the eq and gain structure to your tastes. Runs on 6V6's.

The 40W tweaker is essentially two in one. One clean tweaker and one dirty. VOX Fender and Marshall - esque tones in one box.

with a budget cap of 2K.. check out Rivera.. extremely versatile for recording

The Quiana 112 is a monster little combo.. you can cut it to 25w.. you can get it for just under 2k

I agree with the Mesas and Egnaters mentioned above. I would add on that maybe you should look for a used JVM.
