LP neck PAF sound

Re: LP neck PAF sound

maybe its my cheap les paul sx causing the a2pro to sound thin and rather single coil like on certain solo runs.

Maybe not the quintessential neck LP tone, but the Pearly Gates - HAVE MERCY!

No, in my experience (and opinion) the APH is noticably fatter than the PG in either the neck or the bridge.

I would concur on this point.

OK guys which do you think is the most open or airy sounding of the SD necks?

Scott,

Although I only played your LP with the Jazz in the neck once, I'm inclined to throw that one in to the mix. One of the best sounding neck pups I've come across. However, having said that, an Antiquity neck with a Tonestyler pot would probably give the best results.
