Do yourself a favor TO. Sell all the other stuff and you'll be very close to the price they usually sell for (which is around 3 grand). That type of versatility, power and reliability is what every serious guitarist needs.
I disagree. The Rivera is much more versatile. Plus, with my Lynch guitars, I would end up with the same rig that Lynch used back in '95; and to me, maple + Diezel don't sound so good together.

i've heard the clean channel is pretty workmanlike... nothing special..

The clean channel is just how I like it, actually ... which is borderline clinical.

most of the OOS album was done with a ZVex Fuzz factory i think... lovely pedal.

it wasnt just the tone that made OOS wicked though, listen to citizen erased and try and work out whats going on chordwise ;)

Origin is their best album IMO. Closely follwed by Showbiz, then Absolution. Hullaballoo, had a pretty weak first CD.

Muse rock :headbang:

I can't believe you just said that :saeek:
But I think I know what you mean, as the Rivera might just hit your sweet spot in tone, while I prefer the Diezel. A weird fact here in Europe is that the resale value of the VH-4 is lower than that of the Herbert, while I do think the Herbert sounds a tincy bit better and less sterile, I believe the VH-4 is a little more expensive. I'd love to own one as well, but I'll have to get rid of my Boogie and graduate first :laugh2:
