Mad Professor Sweet Honey CB Versus Boss Dyna Drive.

Are these 2 pedals comparable? I've been looking for a pedal that can go from clean to crunch based on how hard I pick the strings.

Both of these pedals seem to offer this type of dynamic control.

I was wondering if anyone has tried either (or both) of these pedals.

I've tried the Sweet Honey, and own the Joyo version, and it definitely responds EXTREMELY well to picking dynamic. I keep the Gain around 11 o'clock and the focus about 10 o'clock and can get a nice crunch if I smack it hard, and almost totally clean if I back way off. Not sure of the Boss.

I'll have to add to that that the guitar you play also makes a huge difference. I mainly play a strat with low/medium-output pups and I have to turn up the gain pretty much full on my joyo sweet baby.

I love my SHOD and some humbuckers. Cleans up nicely, gets dirty just as nicely. The pickup doesn't really go into hard rock high-gain stuff. Focus and drive between 10-11 with volume at 12 on a slightly-overdriven clean channel through a 60 watt tube amp....deliciously smooth. Heads turn everytime I do a soundcheck at a gig.
