Mag swap for a Alt8?

I have an Alt8 and I want to swap the magnet out, or just trade it off. Has anyone done this? I'm not liking the sound I get from it and pinch harmonics are harder to get from it than all of my other pickups. I like AlNiCo 5's that are in the JB's and other pups. Oh, and does it make a difference if it's a trem spaced or do they all have the same size magnet? Thanks for your assistance.

I tried a Roughcast A5 and a A4 in there.
From what I can recall it sounded to compressed for me.
I didn't like the alt8 or A8 magnets myself.
Tried a C8 as well not for me.
Diggin the JB w/ A2, A3, A4 magnets in it.

I'm think the same thing. It's gonna get pulled and traded off. The A8 magnet or the Alt8 pickup isn't for me.

Forum bro gvis has one with an A5 that he liked a lot, maybe he'll chime in. I'd like to try it with an A2 myself.
