maglok vs black box vs tremsetter

Re: maglok vs black box vs tremsetter

As a Free Floating Fluttery Floyd Fan, my official statement is: none.

Re: maglok vs black box vs tremsetter

None of the above for me.
I have a Tremol-No in my full-floating Floyd guitar which I use to TEMPORARILY block the trem.
You can swap strings and tune in the same time it takes you to for a hardtail (well, minus the stretching part :D).

Turns the guitar from full-floating to dive only to hardtail with the turn of a small knob, on the fly.

Unless you have a specific reason to go spring-loaded (which it is not and CANNOT return you to pitch after the fact) then that's my vote.

+1

I don't currently have a Floyd guitar and don't feel the need for one of these with a 6-bolt trem. When I had a Floyd guitar I used a tremol-no, and I'll do so again if I get another.

Floyds are no lady dogs. Yes they are tricky but once you know all their tricks, it's smooth sailing.
