I opened my Dual Sound yesterday (probably a pre 1979 with a braided hookup wire with 3 prongs (red, silver,white) and the ground on the braid). The ceramic magnet had about the double thickness of a normal humbucker magnet but a smaller width. To get the connection between the allen crews there was a cast iron strip to fill the gap. Is this assembly factory wise or did anyone chance the magnet? I'm on this trip because the cloth tape was changed and shorted?
