No.Does it matter how you insert the bar in a humbucker aside from how it sounds when combined? In other words, i know it can make for issues when combined depending on how it's oriented, but when the HB is used alone does it matter?
The very concept of having a p'up sound different because of the orientation of the magnet is prepostrous, to say the least.I would think this would depend if the coils were balanced or not. The 59/Custom Hybrid, with coils that are not the same, may sound different.

Why do you felt the need to have a say on something you obviously know nothing about? What good does it do to the Co, diffunding misinformation in its name?
You, of all people, should know better.
No emoticon.

You: I would think this would depend if the coils were balanced or not. The 59/Custom Hybrid, with coils that are not the same, may sound different.
That's what I read. That's what I responded to. But I stand behind the following statement:
"The very concept of having a p'up sound different because of the orientation of the magnet is prepostrous, to say the least"
For the rest, well... you present yourself like an "Ambassador" for Seymour Duncan, plus you're an Admin. I guess because of all that I expect you to act and respond accordingly which, in this case, as it stands, was not the case, pun intended.
If I'm proven wrong, I'll be glad to stand corrected.
Your Honor, I rest my case.
C'mon, Dave! I'm the nicest guy you'll ever find... and you know I'll have your back if ever push comes to shove.I will ask you right now to be nicer to people on this forum.
