Are Duncan bridge pup magnets generally thicker than their neck counterparts?

Thats a complete mystery to me, too. I have dozen of Duncans taken apart and they all are of standard size and thickness ( except Distortion, Invader and such non vintage pups).

That's the problem right here: you have no idea, as you have never seen a taken-apart Seth p'up. Yet you feel the need of talk about what you obviously don't know, adding insult to injury for playing the hearsay card, just trying to save face.

I don't think, at least for me, the issue is your knowledge, LtKojak, it was your approach to the OP. It's like you popped out of the gate having a problem w/ him.

The info and advice you gave was good, but the approach could easily make a new guy walk away from the forum wondering what brought it on. But hey, we've all had crap days-- so maybe you were just having one?

So I figured out the problem. It just came to me today. The bridge itself was improperly grounded. Just fixed the problem and there is no "howl." As others have reported, the Seth Lover is damn quiet for an unpotted pickup. You can really go wild with the gain before it starts to feed back like an other potted HB.
