Magnets for my pickups

eyesonly

I was after a pickup for blues but every pickup seems to be made for blues, rock, funk, punk, metal, heavy rock and jazz. How do I set the pickup up to only play blues and not funk, rock, punk, metal, heavy rock and jazz?

Should I just change my magnets to blues magnets? I don't see blues magnets listed on the website.

Any help would be appreciated.

Wtf are you talking about? Any magnet will work for blues. It's about what eq you want. That's what the mag affects.

Well, the guitar doesn't care what music you play on it, and any magnet can and has been used for every kind of music. If you are after a traditional blues sound, other aspects of the design probably have more influence over the sound. But I'd start by looking at pickups that were around at the time of classic blues records, and that means something like PAF-type winds. So Antiquities, Seth Lovers, and even the 59 are designed with a classic sound in mind, which is the sound used ion classic blues records.

Any guitar can be used for blues.
Any magnet can be used for blues.
Just about any pup can be used for blues.
Just about any amp can be used for blues.
The main considerations are how you set-up your amp and how you play. Heck, you can play Beethoven on a Strat if your amp is set up properly and you know how to play.

After reading this again, I think the OP must be a troll. You all have to agree that the op was pretty ridiculous. And he's posted about once a year (rough average) for 12 years.

If I'm wrong, I'd like the OP to reply with a bit more reason than he did in his op. He really must be "eyes only". If he also had fingers he would realize that he could play blues with a rock guitar that had jazz pickups with funk magnets and a punk amp and a heavy metal guitar cord.
