Watch live videos of any 1 guitar band with a lot of solos, like Pantera, or somebody like Avenged Sevenfold, where both guys play lead.

So then you'll lose the bass guitar in order to have twin harmonized solos and rhythm guitar, but no bass.

Give your bass player a doubleneck guitar/bass and have him switch.

Or get a harmonizer so the rhythm guitarist can do rhythm, the bassist can do bass, and you can play your harmonized solo without any loss.

It's actually a lot easier to get by without the rhythm guitar in a live setting than on a recording, as the sound pressure level is more than enough to compensate.

Another option is a looper where the rhythms are pre-recorded and activated via pedal, or go with the bass/guitar double-neck and a set of bass pedals. Bassist taps his foot while he's doing rhythm guitar work in time to the kick. Won't be able to do very dynamic bass work with them, but depending on the track, it could add extra punch to the kick. Kick punch kick. Punch kick punch. Jump punch kick duck punch kick pose.

Tube amp overdrive does this. I go all the way and play bass through a tube bass amp and a 120w guitar amp.
