Man, the only thing I hate more than the honeymoon period...

Sounds like you want an SG-X but i dunno, you really seem to like your strat-shaped metal guitars.

I don't like guitars that have a neck thicker than the body and habitually take neck-dives.

Nah... in all seriousness, SG's are just way too small/light for me, and I don't like the short scale.

Ever check out an Ibanez SZ? And didn't you have a MH400NT?

Yeah - Ibanez has a slightly shorter scale and felt kinda 'choad-ish' body wise... couldn't get into it for some reason? Not a huge Ibanez fan.

Loved the MH400NT for the most part, but it was absolutely dead from a resonance standpoint - just didn't sound very good. That's part of the reason I want a proper ESP Horizon; I want that guitar just made quite a bit better, and with better wood/hardware.

Yeahh man I've wanted one of those for a while. First it was the dark brown burst one. But the blue quilted 2008 one is driving me crazy.

Thats why I got a Horizon-400 but I was pretty disapointed with the sound. It was thin sounding and too bright. But I'll admit it is the lightest and most comfortable guitar I've played on. Played on an MH-400NT after I sold it. Suprisingly heavy guitar. It sounded much fuller than the H400.

Man, that thing looks like it was made for hard duty.

Is that a new model? Because if so it looks like ESP finally made Jake from Strung Out's custom ESP that he's been using for years:

I've heard about a possible sig model for years but it looks like they just went for it anyways without him but with inlays and an EMG :laugh2:

Re: Man, the only thing I hate more than the honeymoon period...

Yeah that does look a lot like Jake Kiley's custom. They should of put a duncan in it. I've talked with the guy before and he likes the JB, distortion and Invader. But I saw Strung Out a couple months ago and he plays Jackson now!

Probably why they made it finally... just to spite him. :laugh2:

And I missed them last time they came around here. I was pissed.
