I love the look/feel/sound of a maple fretboard. I'll never own an electric with anything other than maple.

I have three Strats, two maple and one rosewood. I also have a '65 Mustang which is rosewood. I like both, but the nicest neck of the all is the rosewood one on my '98 MIA Deluxe Strat.

I like the look of maple the most, but i hate the feel.
I like the feel of ebony, but on strats its to bright.
I like the feel of rosewood, and i love it on strats.
I picked rosewood.

I have a Rosewood Strat and it's great. But when I think Strat, I think Maple.
So I voted for Maple. Besides, the Rosewood was out numbered.

Always been a rosewood guy until recently. Never cared much for Ebony on the guitars I've owned with them.

In fact I used to think I hated maple boards, but I'm finding with my new strat I'm starting to prefer it, as it has a snappier punchy attack...AND it adds a touch of brightness. Then I can get away with warmer pups and/or set the amp for warmer sounds. I'm finding I'd rather do it that way than crank the treble/presence or get a really cutting/twangy pickup. The maple board adds a nice edge to lead tones and chord work without getting shrill or harsh.

For my strats, I like Rosewood for traditional pickup configurations (SSS) and maple for more modern options (HSS or HH).

My Strat has maple and my Wolfgang also and I love the smoothness. I'm a maple guy!
