Hey Mark, that is one of my favorite riffs ever, but you can't nail it this time :nana:
The reason lies in your liquid 80s playing style. Your right hand has to be more aggressive, your palm mutes much tighter, and your sound less buzzy, more chunky
It's a totally different game, and it needs some practice.
Anyways, nice to see you doing something different, and props for you to go with something hard to play.
Now try Blood of the Scribe 4. Riff (Chorus) That one is a real pain , but Lovely!
