Thanks for the listen Dave. I think I've seen that clip before (probably from the LP Forum:duh: ). Great tone and incredible hands. I forgot that MK doesn't use a pick. He and Jeff Beck amaze me with their technique.

yeah man...he gets sick tone, great guitar player...one of my favorites, love his songwriting as well...

gotta give it up to the rythme section as well....sounds rediculous, but you cant solo without one!

I wonder what amp he's using? I know he cites the Tone King Comet 40 as being one of his new main amps. And as usual, impeccable feel and dynamics.

i have a vid of him playing sultans of swing in some personal setting type thing with this amp....holy cow...this and his suhr strat, what a friggin tone!

Hmm have both seen and heard better from Mr Knopfler, but it was as usual tasty and very Mark K, he has funny and instant recogniseable style.
I dig him playing strats more

When it first showed him playing, I was wondering how much the compressor used to take out his pick attack set him back, then I remembered he uses his fingers!

I saw him at the Greek Theater a while back, and he's definitely a killer player. Like many, I'd rather see (and hear) him playing a Strat.
