Marshal JVM series amps

Hello all,
Anyone own one? Is the dual effects loops assigned to a channel or can you recall them per channel?
So If I wanted to put a chorus and delay on one effects loop and then just a Delay in the other. With the clean channel use the Chorus delay loop then just the Delay in the other loop with a Drive channel?

No one around me carries the JVM for me to play around with anymore. I play through one years and years ago and thought it was a very good sounding amp. I also liked all the different modes in each channel. Pretty badass.

Re: Marshal JVM series amps

One loop is switchable, in that the amp remembers whether it is on or off if you are using memory patches. It is parallel until the mix knob is 100%. I never really screwed around with the included foot switcher, because I bought a MIDI foot controller right away, so I can't really tell you how it works with the factory foot switch.

The other loop, referred to as the Poweramp Insert Loop in the manual, is always on, has no mix knob and is a series loop. I think they designed that loop with the TC Electronic G System in mind, because I remember reading over on JVMforum.com that Marshall did a lot of testing with that processor. When used with the 4 cable method, the G System allows you to take am amp's preamp (or at least between the input and the loop return) out of the signal path and replace it with a pedal or another preamp (the G System has 4 loops of it's own that allow this). The Poweramp Insert Loop on the JVM allows you to go straight into the poweramp in this instance.
